This program is rooted in nature-based learning and takes place outdoors throughout the year. It is best suited for girls who have a basic level of resilience and willingness to be outside in varying seasonal conditions. While we offer warmth, encouragement, and support, participants should be reasonably comfortable spending extended time outdoors.

No. We do not provide sex education.
We do teach female body literacy from a physiological and biomechanical perspective, including understanding anatomy, cycles, posture, movement, and overall wellness. Guest practitioners such as a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor and an osteopath may share age-appropriate educational insights from their professional fields.
We believe body literacy is an important foundation for self-knowledge. However, we believe conversations around sexuality are best led by the family in an age-appropriate way, and we do not facilitate that portion of education.
-
No. This program is specifically designed for female-bodied youth who have begun menstruation and who are comfortable identifying as girls. The curriculum is centered around female cyclical physiology and the rite-of-passage experience connected to that developmental stage.
-
No. This program is designed as a live, in-person ceremonial container where each gathering builds upon the last. Because of the relational and experiential nature of the work, make-up sessions are not available.
We warmly invite you to join in a future year if your family’s schedule allows for full participation.

Parents, mothers, and family members will be invited to participate in specific portions of the initiation journey, including select gatherings and ceremonial moments. They will also have an opportunity to join 3 sessions that are parent-only seminars.
At other times, the program is intentionally focused on fostering peer connection, confidence, and bonding among the girls themselves. During those portions, parent attendance would not be appropriate.
-
No. This is a modern rite-of-passage program and is not affiliated with any religion or specific cultural tradition.
Our intention is to offer timeless, practical teachings such as ancestral skills, nature connection, mentorship, and non-religious meditative practices such as guided visualization and mindfulness.
We deeply respect the diverse beliefs and worldviews of participating families.
